CPA PROFILES

CLARKE N WHITNEY, CPA, President and Founder, has over 30 years experience in the accounting field. Clarke graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1973 with a BA in Business and emphasis in accounting, and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1978. Always active in his community, Clarke is past president and current treasurer of the Bremerton Area Chamber of Commerce. He has served on the boards of United Way of Kitsap County, East Bremerton Rotary Club, and Kitsap Family YMCA, and is currently a board member of DONOBI, INC., Bremerton's only publicly traded company. Clarke enjoys noon basketball at the YMCA and tennis, skiing, boating, and golf. He and his wife Mindy have two sons, Maxx and Miles, and live on Hood Canal.

NANCY J CONRAD, CPA, Poulsbo Office Manager, graduated with a BS in Accounting in 1985 from City University. In 1987 she was licensed as a CPA and has since completed the core courses for her MBA. In November 2004, Nancy completed a comprehensive course and thorough examination conducted by the Society of Certified Senior Advisors® on priority senior issues to earn the Certified Senior Advisor, CSA™ designation. Nancy has taken this educational initiative to become a professional leader in meeting the key needs and issues concerning senior citizens. She has been employed with the firm since 1992 and Poulsbo Office Manager since 1997. Nancy has resided in Poulsbo with her husband Walter since 1980; they have two grown children.

WARD SCOTT, CPA, Tax Manager, is a long term resident of Kitsap County who graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1972 and attended Olympic College. Ward holds an MBA from Idaho State University and a Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University and received his CPA license in 1978. He has extensive experience in public accounting, concentrating in the area of taxation, and has taught college-level accounting and tax. Ward currently serves on the board of the Kitsap Community Foundation.

LACY FERGUSON, CPA, Audit Specialist, graduated from the University of Southern California with a Masters Degree in Accounting in 2003. Her work experience includes small business, not-for-profit, and government audits. Lacy also teaches accounting at Chapman and Old Dominion Universities.
